Clinical interests
Dr Elgalib is consultant in genitourinary medicine (GUM) and HIV. His specialist interests are in HIV inpatient care, HIV resistance and antiretroviral therapy and HIV-infected adolescents.
Professional profile
Dr Elgalib qualified from Khartoum Medical School in 1998. His qualifications include a diploma in GUM (2006), a diploma of the faculty of sexual and reproductive healthcare (2006), a diploma in HIV (2008) and a diploma in tropical medicine (2009).
He undertook specialist training at Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust for four years from 2005 to 2009. He was subsequently appointed a consultant in GUM and HIV medicine at Croydon University Hospital in 2010.
Dr Elgalib has presented oral presentations at national and international conferences and has also published research in peer review journals.
