Congratulations to our staff for triumphing at the NHS Parliamentary awards today.

We are delighted to announce that Charmaine Angela Case, Lead Clinical Specialist Nurse won the prestigious Lifetime Achievement Award at the NHS Parliamentary Awards.

And she was joined by members of our Emergency Department and Homelessness Service who were shortlisted for a The Excellence in Urgent and Emergency Care Award.

The awards offer an opportunity for Members of Parliament to celebrate the work of NHS staff who have gone above and beyond in their field.

Charmaine works for the Breast Screening Service at St George’s and has been at the trust for 40 years. She has dedicated her career to caring for patients with breast cancer while demonstrating excellent patient centred care.

Both the nominations were put forward by Rosena Allin-Khan MP, who joined us at St George’s earlier in the day in a special event to mark the 75th birthday of the NHS.

Thank you to all our staff and well done to all our nominees and our winner.  Congratulations!
