Our Play Room team, along with some of our younger patients, made Strictly Come Dancing star and St George’s doctor, Dr Ranj, his very own glitterball trophy last week.

Dr Ranj works in our Paediatric Emergency Department and was a magnificent representative of the NHS and St George’s on the current series of BBC’s Strictly. He was paired with professional dancer Janette Manrara and made it through to week seven of the show.

He had lots of fans in our Paediatric Wards thanks to his work on CBBC, and the children, along with members of our Play Team, decided to award him their handmade St George’s Strictly glitterball trophy.

You can watch the moment he was presented with the trophy here on our Twitter page.

Thanks to our patients and the Play Team for such a lovely gesture, and well done to Dr Ranj for his dancing skills!
