An appointment in the Review clinic is an individual appointment with a member of the Chronic Pain Self Management Team.

Following referral, you will be offered a Review clinic appointment if  –

  • You have completed a Pain Management Programme with us in the past and you have been re-referred for further support
  • You have been assessed by a different chronic pain service and they feel that you need a more intensive Pain Management Programme than that service can offer.  You have been referred to the us to discuss attending our Pain Management Programme.  Please see our Pain Management Programme page for more details.
  • You have been assessed by us in the past but at that stage we agreed it was not the right time for you to attend appointments with us.  You have been re-referred to discuss whether now is a better time for you to attend our service
  • You need an interpreter to assist you in the appointment.

Following a Review clinic appointment, the team member that you have seen will discuss your case with the rest of the Chronic Pain Self Management Team.  we will then let you know what type of support we recommend for you.
