Blood Pressure Unit – Hypertension clinics moved from Lanesborough Wing

We are changing the location for Blood Pressure Unit – Hypertension clinic appointments in the Lanesborough Wing at St George’s Hospital in Tooting to one of the Trust’s other sites, The Nelson Health Centre in Merton.

We are making changes to how we currently provide some services. This includes moving some of our Lanesborough Wing Outpatients clinics at St George’s to different locations.

We currently have a high number of patients, staff and clinics in the Lanesborough Wing at St George’s Hospital. This can lead to patient waiting and clinic areas being overcrowded. A recent Care Quality Commission inspection confirmed our current facilities were overcrowded and this could cause a potential issue should we have to evacuate people.

Therefore some services previously provided in the Lanesborough Wing at St George’s Hospital, including BPU clinics, are being moved. This will take effect from Monday 12 December.

We apologise for any inconvenience that may be caused to patients by moving the location of your appointment. We are contacting patients by phone and in writing to give people as much notice as possible.
