Genetic Counsellor

Venessa is a genetic counsellor working within the South West Thames Regional Genetics Service based at St George’s University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. Venessa graduated from Lakehead University with a Bachelor of Art (major in psychology) in 2007 and from Laurentian University with an Honours Bachelor of Science degree in Anthropology in 2011. She then completed her Master of Genetic Counselling at the University of Melbourne in 2014.

Venessa has previously worked as a research genetic counsellor and since 2017 as a clinical genetic counsellor. She sees patients with cancer and non-cancer hereditary conditions and has a specialist neurological and Huntington’s disease clinic.
