Mr Nicholas Hyde
Clinical interests
Mr Hyde is a consultant maxillofacial surgeon specialising in facial trauma, salivary gland surgery and disease and pathology, non-melanoma head and neck skin cancer, and resective and reconstructive surgery for head and neck malignancy.
Professional profile
Mr Hyde qualified in dentistry from the University of London in 1984, gaining his Dental Fellowship in 1986. He qualified in medicine in 1993 at the Royal London Hospital.
After medical school Mr Hyde completed higher surgical training in maxillofacial surgery at Queen Mary's Hospital, Roehampton, University College London and Great Ormond Street Hospitals. He later gained his Masters in Surgery in 2004.
Mr Hyde's higher degree was based on research into lymphatic drainage patterns and diagnostic intervention in oral squamous cell carcinoma.
He is the current tumour working group chair for head and neck cancer in south west London and clinical director for cancer at St George's Hospital.
