Consultant Vascular Surgeon

Miss Stenson studied at Oxford University and Imperial College London, qualifying as a doctor in 2004. She trained in general and then vascular surgery in London, Kent and Surrey. She completed a fellowship in endovenous surgery in southeast London. Her doctoral research was undertaken at St George’s under Professors Thompson, Holt and Loftus and focused on the use of polymer technology in the treatment of abdominal aortic aneurysms.

Miss Stenson was an NIHR Clinical Lecturer in vascular surgery between 2017 and 2021. She completed her training in vascular surgery in 2022 and was appointed as a substantive consultant vascular surgeon at St George’s in the same year. She is currently the unit lead for clinical governance and for vascular trauma. Miss Stenson has a particular interest in education and mentoring.

Clinical Interests 

Miss Stenson is a consultant vascular surgeon at St George’s and Kinston Hospitals. She has an interest in treating lower limb and carotid arterial disease, superficial venous disease and aortic diseases, as well as vascular trauma.
