Clinical interests

Gill is a senior midwife sonographer at St George's University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and is the manager of the early pregnancy unit. She joined the health service in 1981 first as a nurse and later as a midwife. Her main interest is in transvaginal ultrasound in early pregnancy complications specifically the diagnosis and non-surgical management of ectopic pregnancies and other pregnancy losses.

Professional profile

Gill set up and established the early pregnancy unit at St George's Hospital 15 years ago for women with problems in the early stages of pregnancy. She now manages and teaches in the unit with a committed team that has a highly recognised level of expertise in the application of transvaginal scanning, diagnosis and management of early pregnancy complications.
