Dr Sarah Clark
Clinical interests
Dr Clark is a consultant hepatologist at St George's University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. She specialises in general hepatology and viral hepatitis, as well as hepatopancreatobiliary disease, diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy and colonoscopy.
Professional profile
Dr Clark has been a consultant physician and hepatologist at St George's since 2003. She undertook her medical training in Nottingham, qualifying in 1991, completing her specialist training in gastroenterology in London.
Her Doctorate of Medicine was carried out at King's Liver Unit, investigating insulin resistance in acute liver failure, being predominantly undertaken on the liver intensive care unit.
Her post at St George's consists of both hepatology and viral hepatitis clinics, endoscopy sessions and inpatient care of general medical and hepatology patients. Dr Clark is actively involved in teaching and training, and trains on the national endoscopy courses that are run at St George's Hospital.
