Dr Katie Moss
Clinical interests
Dr Moss is a consultant in Rheumatology. She conducts clinics in General Rheumatology and cares for ward patients with rheumatological disorders. She leads the Osteoporosis and Metabolic Bone Disease service and runs regular clinics in this field. She has a special interest in hypophosphatasia. In 2017 St George’s Hospital was designated a Specialist Centre for the treatment of adults with hypophosphatasia with asfotase alfa.
Professional profile
Dr Moss qualified as a doctor and was awarded MBChB by University of Bristol in 1992. She achieved Membership of the Royal College of Physicians (MRCP) in 1997. She completed specialist training in Rheumatology in 2003 and attained FRCP(London) in 2008. She has been a Rheumatology Consultant at St George’s Hospital London since 2004.
Since 2004 she has been an Honorary Senior Lecturer at SGUL. She has a keen interest in medical education, having previously spent 10 years as a tutor in Medical Ethics at University College London. She is teaching lead for P year Rheumatology Undergraduate medical students.
