Dr Leyon is a consultant neuroradiologist at St George's University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, specialising in interventional and diagnostic neuroradiology.
His interests include the diagnosis and treatment of ruptured and unruptured brain aneurysms, arteriovenous malformations and dural fistulae of the brain and spinal cord and acute stroke interventional treatment.

Dr Joe Leyon is a neuroradiology consultant subspecialising in interventional neuroradiology. He did medical training and completed the membership examination of the Royal College of Physicians before starting radiology training in Birmingham. He went on to do subspecialty training in neuroradiology and a fellowship in interventional neuroradiology at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham. He has also completed the Advanced Course of Higher Qualification in Interventional Neuroradiology Examination organised by the European Board of Neuroradiology. He worked as a consultant neuroradiologist in the North of England before moving to St George’s Hospital. He is well-published with many articles in key neurosciences journals.
