Dr James Pilcher
Clinical interests
Dr Pilcher is a consultant radiologist with a specialist interest in diagnostic radiology. Other special interests include adult ultrasound in gastrointestinal and musculoskeletal diagnosis, interventional ultrasound procedures and the use of contrast agents.
Professional profile
Dr Pilcher qualified in 1990 from St George's Hospital Medical School and subsequently underwent radiology training at St George's Hospital. He carried out his radiology research at Hammersmith Hospital and was appointed a consultant in October 2001.
His research interests are in the application of ultrasound in rheumatology, and the use of contrast agents in gastrointestinal ultrasound.
