    Clinical interests

Claire has an interest in neurosciences and bladder and bowel dysfunction, and has now moved on to the clinical area of stoma care.

    Professional profile

Claire trained at St Bartholomew's Hospital in London and specialised in neurosurgery, before spending a year working at Addenbrooke's Hospital in the Accident and Emergency Department.

She spent three years working as a public school nursing sister, before resuming her career in the NHS. Claire studied neurosciences at Atkinson Morley's Hospital, Wimbledon and worked in neurology and neurorehabilitation. She worked as a senior ward manager at The Wolfson Neurorehabiliation Centre for over 18 years.

In 2008 Claire transferred to the urology department at St George's Hospital where she worked as a clinical nurse with a speciality in continence and catheter care. She then had the opportunity to work with the stoma care department and worked both in urology and stoma care before she joined the stoma care team on a full time basis in 2009.
