Dr Cassie Pope (Clinical Scientist)
Clinical interests
Dr Pope is a Consultant Clinical Scientist in Microbiology at St George's University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. Her primary interests are clinical virology, assay evaluation, diagnostic microbiology, molecular diagnostics and training of clinical scientists.
Professional profile
Dr Pope undertook her Clinical Scientist training at the Royal Free Hospital and became HCPC registered as a Clinical Scientist in 2007 and moved to St George’s at that point.
In 2008 she was awarded her PhD in the topic of evolution of antibiotic resistance in Burkholderia cepacia.
