Congratulations to our Vascular Consultants Professor Peter Holt and Mr Paul Moxey who have recently been elected to the council of the British Society of Endovascular Therapy (BSET).

This is a fantastic opportunity which allows Peter and Paul to be involved in shaping the future of the profession.

BSET was established to promote scientific research, educational development and enhance the quality of training in endovascular treatment and procedures for the advancement of health and public benefit.

Peter said: “The society supports consultants and trainees by offering endovascular fellowships for training and research. Being elected members allows us to be at the forefront of decision making and delivery of teaching and training.”

Paul said: “Being elected members gives us a voice in the direction of the society, and therefore our speciality, which will determine the way keyhole treatment of blood vessel disease will be delivered in the future. It also raises the profile of St George’s Vascular Unit around the country.

Well done Peter and Paul!
