The 26 June saw some of the Trust’s reservists and former members of the armed forces get together to celebrate Armed Forces Day and Reserves Day.

Armed Forces Day took place on Saturday 29 June, and this celebration was organised as a way for the Trust to show their support for the armed forces community and the many reservists who work here.

Gillian Norton, Chairman, and Harbhajan Singh Brar, Director of Human Resources and Organisational Development, met with the reservists to hear more about their careers and thank them for the valuable contribution they make.

Captain Wayne Douglas of the 256 Field Hospital Army reserve unit, who has worked with the Trust to develop the support we offer armed forces personnel, was also in attendance.

St George’s is a signatory to the Armed Forces Covenant and has already gained Bronze status in the Ministry of Defence Employer Recognition Scheme.
