St George’s hosts visit from Government Minister
We recently welcomed Nick Markham CBE, Parliamentary Under Secretary of State at the Department of Health and Social Care, to St George’s.
Our Managing Director, Kate Slemeck, led the visit which included a tour of our Emergency Department and the Urgent Treatment Centre. The visit focused on digital innovation in the Emergency/Acute medicine pathway from the Emergency Department to discharge.
Our Group Chief Executive, Jacqueline Totterdell, also met Lord Markham to set out our aspirations to build a brand new Specialist Emergency Care Hospital (SECH) in Sutton, and also redevelop our existing hospitals on the Epsom and St Helier sites.
