As you are aware the British Medical Association (BMA) announced that their junior doctor members were prepared to take part in further strike action in relation to their proposed new contracts.

As a result, three further dates of industrial action are planned for:

  • 9 – 11 March 2016 Emergency care only between 8am on Wednesday 9th March and 8am on Friday 11th March (48 hours)
  • 6 – 8 April 2016
    Emergency care only between 8am on Wednesday 6th April and 8am on Friday 8th April (48 hours)
  • 26 – 28 April 2016
    Emergency care only between 8am on Tuesday 26th April and 8am on Thursday 28th April (48 hours)

If there are changes to an appointment that you have arranged at our hospitals on a day of action, we will contact you.  If you do not hear from us, please assume your appointment remains unchanged.

St George’s overriding concern and obligation is to provide high quality and safe care to patients during this time. We are, as you would expect, taking the appropriate measures to ensure that services and the quality of patient care we provide are not compromised.
