The paediatric department at St George’s will open its doors on Thursday 9 March from 9:30am – 3pm for a recruitment open day.

The team is looking to recruit passionate and enthusiastic individuals committed to excellent patient care.

The event will be hosted in G2.8, second floor, Grosvenor Wing at St George’s Hospital in Tooting. Registration starts at 9:30am.

Those attending the open day will also have the chance to take a tour of the department and meet with staff to discuss opportunities with senior members of the team.

The team provides specialist care and treatment for children and young people across the south east of England and are looking to recruit both newly qualified and experienced children’s nurses.

The successful candidates will join teams within various specialties including: medicine, surgery, neuroscience, oncology, haematology, infectious diseases, neonatal unit, emergency department, intensive care and day care.

The department, based at St George’s Hospital in Tooting, runs three rotational programmes within surgical, acute speciality, and acute wards, plus a preceptorship programme inclusive of study days.

Whether you want to launch your nursing career or further your experience, St George’s provides an exciting and excellent environment in which to meet the challenges of nursing.

Tania Haughton, Paediatric Matron, said: “We are excited to meet with candidates on the day and to raise the awareness of the types of services we offer to patients within our paediatric department at St George’s.”
