We are pleased to announce that a new Non-Executive Director has been appointed to the Trust’s Board of Directors.

Tim Wright has a background in IT strategic leadership and consulting across both the private and public sectors. His most recent full time appointment was as Chief Information Officer and Digital Leader at the Department for Education, a position he held for six years.

Prior to joining the civil service, Tim worked for 20 years in the oil and gas industry in IT development, consulting and senior leadership roles. He is a Fellow of the British Computer Society, and a Member of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers.

Tim said: “I’m excited to be joining the Trust at this time. I am passionate about the innovative use of technology and how it can be used effectively to support change. I’m looking forward to joining the Trust Board, and working with the wider team at St George’s to improve outcomes for patients in any way I can.”

Gillian Norton, Trust Chairman, said: “I am delighted to welcome Tim as our new Non-Executive Director. He brings a wealth of knowledge to the role, and I am confident he will be a real asset to the Trust, the Board and, most importantly of all, the communities we serve.”

Tim’s appointment was approved at a meeting of the Trust’s Council of Governors, which includes members of the public and staff.
