The NHS we work in has changed significantly in the past few years. The impact of Covid on our patients, advances in technology, closer collaboration between local health organisations, and the creation of our hospital group, all mean that we need to look again at our ambitions and priorities. So over the course of this year we are developing a new strategy for the organisation.

Some things are not up for debate and will not be changed by the new strategy – for example the development of a new emergency care hospital in Sutton.

But we have an opportunity now to think about questions like how we offer outstanding care – including to patients who currently face health inequalities; how we make the Trust a great place to work; take advantage of new technology and innovation;  and work better with our partners like GPs and other hospitals around us.

We want to hear from you

Our patients and the public are invited to attend a one-hour workshop held in our local boroughs during August 2022 to contribute to the development of a new strategy.

We want it to be shaped by you, so please come along to give us your views about where we should focus our energies. They will be a chance to give your thoughts on our future and ask any questions you may have.

To register to attend an event, please email: esth.sguh.strategy@nhs.net with your name, if you are a patient or member of the public, and which workshop you would like to attend.
