Andrew Grimshaw, Group Chief Financial Officer, will be stepping down from his role in November to take up a new position at Mid and South Essex NHS Foundation Trust.

Andrew joined the organisation in 2017 and has played a pivotal role in shaping and strengthening its financial strategy over the past eight years.

He provided critical leadership through the Covid 19 pandemic, ensuring the Trust was able to respond rapidly to unprecedented challenges, while maintaining strong financial oversight and support for frontline services.

James Blythe, Interim Chief Executive Officer for St George’s, Epsom and St Helier University Hospitals and Health Group, said:  “Andrew has been a hugely valued member of the team since 2017. His calm, pragmatic approach and commitment to our values have helped steer the organisation through some challenging times.

“On behalf of the Board, I would like to thank Andrew for the compassionate approach he has taken to helping us manage our money and for keeping patients at the centre of all we do.”

Details on interim cover and the recruitment process for a new Group CFO will be communicated shortly.
