St George’s is pleased to announce the appointment of Andrew Asbury as its new Director of Estates and Facilities.

Andrew joins St George’s from University College London (UCL) where he has been Director of Estate Strategy. At UCL, he worked closely with the universities’ NHS partners on a variety of estates projects.

Prior to his role at UCL, Andrew served as the Director of Estates at the Royal College of Art and oversaw the biggest ever redevelopment programme at the college.

Andrew said: “This will be my first role in the NHS and I can’t wait to get started. Whenever I’ve needed it, the NHS has been there for me, so the opportunity to join St George’s was really appealing.

“St George’s is an organisation that means so much, to so many people, and I’m looking forward to becoming part of the team.”

Andrew Grimshaw, Deputy Chief Executive, said: “I am delighted to welcome Andrew to St George’s – he brings with him a wealth of experience in his field and we’re all looking forward to working closely with him as we continue to improve the Trust’s estate.

“Andrew will lead an excellent team that plays a vital role in helping us to provide outstanding care, every time.”

Andrew will take up his new role at the Trust on the 26 May.
