AFC Wimbledon spread the Christmas cheer to St George’s paediatric wards
AFC Wimbledon’s men and women’s first-team players combined with the AFC Wimbledon Foundation to deliver some early Christmas gifts to patients on our paediatric wards at St George’s – resulting in smiles aplenty!
AFC Wimbledon donates gifts to our paediatric wards every Christmas. This visit was particularly special because it was the first in-person donation the team has been able to do since 2019 before the pandemic.
Of course, Haydon the Womble, AFC Wimbledon’s mascot, also joined as the team visited our children’s wards.
A whole range of goodies was distributed, including replica shirts, balls and board games to name a few.
Both patients and staff were pleased to meet the team and happily posed for photos.
The team was delighted to bring some joy to the Hospital at this time of year and extended their thanks for the visit.
