Clinical interests

Mr Ofo is a consultant ear, nose and throat, and head and neck surgeon based at St George’s and Kingston Hospitals, and Honorary Senior Lecturer at St George’s, University of London Medical School. His main clinical interest is in all aspects of benign and malignant head and neck conditions, including thyroid, parathyroid, and salivary gland disorders.

He is a specialist in surgical procedures on head and neck lumps and tumours, thyroid lumps and tumours or goitres, parathyroid adenomas, salivary gland tumours, and robotic head and neck surgery.

Professional profile

Mr Ofo was appointed a consultant at St George’s in 2015. He completed his ENT training in the South East London training rotation which included hospitals such as Guys & St Thomas’s and Great Ormond Street. He also undertook PhD research in Head & Neck Cancer studies at Kings College London, supported by over £300,000 of competitive funding.

Prior to consultant appointment, Mr Ofo gained additional head & neck, thyroid and robotic cancer surgery expertise from 2 years of fellowship training in London (Guy’s & St Thomas Hospital) and Australia (Royal Adelaide Hospital). He is one of the pioneers of transoral robotic surgery in the UK and led the team at St George’s to perform their first robotic head and neck cancer operation in 2015.

Mr Ofo is also a high-volume thyroid and parathyroid surgeon, performing over 120 combined procedures each year.

Mr Ofo is currently lead clinician for the combined St George’s and Royal Marsden Hospitals Head & Neck and Thyroid Cancer Multidisciplinary Team (MDT). He would be delighted to attend GP practices to give a talk on any aspects of ENT or head and neck surgery.
