Professional profile

Matthew trained at Imperial College London and qualified in 2007. He completed a Masters in Surgical Education at Imperial in 2012.  He then obtained the MRCP (UK) in 2013 and the MRCOG in 2014. Matthew gained his MD at the University of London in 2016 following research at the Chelsea and Westminster Hospital and Royal Brompton Hospitals into maternal cardiac disease and pregnancy. Matthew completed his maternal medicine training and Guy's and St Thomas' Hospitals. Matthew is part of the maternal medicine team at St George's and leads the diabetes service as well as the Obstetric HDU. He is a member of the British Maternal and Fetal Medicine Society (BMFMS), UK Maternal Cardiac Society and the MacDonald Obstetric Medicine Society. Matthew has an active research profile in maternal cardiac disease and pregnancy.
