Rebecca McLoughlin
Clinical interests
Rebecca McLoughlin works as a physiotherapist in the Red Cell Pain Management Service (RCPMS). Within the RCPMS Rebecca leads a weekly exercise and movement group for people who are living with sickle cell disease and persistent pain. Rebecca also provides pain management physiotherapy on an individual basis, working with people to gain a better understanding of pain and gradually increase involvement in valued activity, in the presence of pain and sickle cell. Rebecca works very closely with Dr Jenna Love, Clinical Psychologist within the RCPMS, and together they run an eight week pain management programme for people with sickle cell and persistent pain.
Professional profile
Rebecca trained as a physiotherapist at King’s College London. She specialised in pain management physiotherapy and has worked in pain services at three London Hospitals and completed a Master’s Degree in Pain Science. Rebecca started her career at St George’s University Hospitals and returned in 2015 to work in the RCPMS.
