A new online course to educate healthcare professionals about organ donation has been co-created by Professor Hannah Cock following her experience of her son, Alfie, being an organ donor in 2016 aged nine.
Jeremy Hunt, MP and Secretary of State for Health, visited St George’s as one of the leading Trusts for organ donation in the UK ahead of the consultation announcement on presumed consent for organ donation.
Professor Hannah Cock, Consultant Neurologist at St George’s, and husband Martin Scott said that being able to donate Alfie’s organs brought them ‘great comfort and pride’.
