In year one we set the target of running two study days with 60 attendees at each including free places for professionals engaged in the Twins Trust Maternity Engagement Project. However, this was not possible due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the restrictions that were in place. For the same reason, peer support visits and other forms of support were also not possible.

To fulfil this part of the contract it was agreed that a series of eleven online webinars would be held fortnightly in place of the study days. The webinars were well-attended with over 1,074 professionals attending, far exceeding the original target of 120 professionals.

Feedback from the webinars has been very positive:

“Thank you, very helpful, very good and really educational.”

“It’s a great way for us to learn in a friendly environment with multiple experts from around the world teaching us.”

“The topics covered were very informative and very relevant to clinical practice, it covered all the essential subjects to manage different types of multiple pregnancy. The content was relevant to healthcare professionals at all levels and the case studies were one of the highlights.”

We have restarted the webinars in April 2021. We are pleased to organise a series of fortnightly twin/multiple pregnancy free webinars over the next few months. To view the webinar dates, click here.
