St George’s University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust paid tribute to the dedication and loyalty of its staff and volunteers recently with a special dinner.

Ten members of staff who have each worked 25 years at the hospital received a glass rose bowel for serving an amazing quarter of a century. Seven others who could not attend the meal also had their names read out and will receive their tribute at a later date. The 17 recipients ranged from clerical staff and technicians to senior doctors and nurses. Seven long-serving volunteers were also honoured.

Joining them for the celebratory meal on Thursday 2 November were other staff who received outstanding achievement awards in at the Trust’s AGM in September.*

Naaz Coker, Chair of St George’s Hospital, described the award-winning staff as, “stars”.

“Each year it is my pleasure to say a personal thank you to each of our long-serving stars. St George’s is a great organisation and it is the high caliber of its staff that makes it so.”
