Travel disruption during this weekend’s Prudential RideLondon event
The annual Prudential RideLondon event is taking place this weekend (1st/2nd August). Developed by the Mayor of London and his agencies, Prudential RideLondon is a world-class festival of cycling.
Nearly 95,000 cyclists are expected to participate in five events throughout London and Surrey. Please be aware that this is expected to result in significant disruption for both staff and visitors travelling to St George’s this weekend.
On Saturday 1st August, the main road closures will be in central London and around St James’s Park.
There will be significantly more disruption on Sunday 2nd August, when road closures will also be in place in south west London and Surrey for much of the day.
Details of all the road closures can be found on the RideLondon website.
Staff and visitors are advised to check the details of their planned journey to St George’s. If your journey is affected, please consider alternative routes, including the use of public transport.
Please note that emergency access to the hospitals will be maintained at all times.
