We were so proud to see Charmaine Case, Breast Screening Clinical Nurse Specialist, feature in a new ITV documentary this week to mark Black History Month.

Presented by Alison Hammond, the programme shines a light on influential black figures from British history.

Charmaine, who is also the secretary of The Mary Seacole Memorial Association, features in the last segment alongside other members of the assocation next to Mary Seacole’s grave.

Alison is seen asking the group what inspires them about Mary Seacole, a British-Jamaican who was known for her medical work in the Crimean war.

Alison Hammond: Black to School is available to watch again on the ITV hub here. Charmaine features at 41.25.
