St George’s University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, London, has appointed John-Jo Campbell as its new Head of IT.

Mr Campbell was previously on secondment at the Department of Health where his responsibilities included developing a major IT procurement project and leading the transition of live services in the south of England. He has also held the post of Interim Chief Information Officer for NHS South Central where, among other responsibilities, he led the National Programme for IT.

Patrick Mitchell, St George’s Chief Operating Officer, said, “John-Jo joins the Trust at a very crucial time, as we move forward with our implementation of the national programme for IT in December, and a major transformation of clinical services using IT as a driving force for change.”
