The RTS award-winning documentary series returns for a fifteenth series following patients treated in the same 24 hour period at St George’s in south west London.

The hospital has one of the busiest A&E departments in Britain – under more pressure than ever.  It’s a place where stories of life, love and loss unfold every day.

Zac, 30, is rushed to A&E after severely dislocating and fracturing his ankle playing football with friends. He arrives in A&E in shock and pain and doctors have to work swiftly to restore the blood flow to his foot and reduce his pain.

Ian, 51, fell off the tail gate while unloading his lorry and has badly hurt his back and pelvis.

Finally, nine-year-old Jayden is in with a swollen eye. Paediatric doctors have to decide if it was a fleck of rust that caused it to swell up so violently.

Tune in tonight (Wednesday 22 August) at 9pm on Channel 4.
