The RTS award-winning documentary series returns for a fifteenth series following patients treated in the same 24 hour period at St George’s in south west London.

The hospital has one of the busiest A&E departments in Britain – under more pressure than ever.  It’s a place where stories of life, love and loss unfold every day.

Ex-paratrooper Martin (pictured), 48, has sustained multiple life changing injuries to his neck, pelvis and legs after his paraglider was blown into the hillside during flight. He is rushed in to A&E by emergency helicopter.

Doctors treat 73-year-old Eddie for severe sepsis. He is weakened after undergoing a recent course of chemotherapy.

Finally music lover Graham’s nose just won’t stop bleeding after he recently started taking blood-thinners following a heart attack.

Tune in tonight (Wednesday 15 August) at 9pm on Channel 4.
