Members meet the trust chairman and chief executive
Over 50 members of St George’s Healthcare NHS Trust attended a meeting on Wednesday 22nd February where they heard presentations from Christopher Smallwood, trust chairman, and Miles Scott, chief executive. The event provided an opportunity for members to learn more about the work of the trust and its strategic aims including an update on the progress being made to attain Foundation Trust (FT) status by 2014.
Christopher Smallwood, chairman, said: “This was an opportunity for us to talk and answer questions about some of the great work that we do across the trust and also to reflect on some of the challenges that we face. Our members will play a central role in shaping our future as a FT and it is important that they understand the scope of our work.
“Achieving FT status remains essential to the long-term success of St George’s Healthcare and will provide a mark of the quality of our clinical services and management.”
