St George’s hosted its annual Macmillan Coffee Morning on Friday 26th September and right from the start there was a real buzz with lots of people lining up for coffee and cake and people winning prizes at the very lively tombola outside the main reception at St George’s Hospital.

Thanks to our wonderful supporters Sainsbury’s and Tesco’s also attended, as well as Mitie, Peabody and M&S, who all contributed to making this the most successful coffee morning to date, raising an amazing £1,825.98!

Thanks also to our guests: Rt. Hon Sadiq Khan MP, The Mayor, Cllr Stuart Thom, representatives from the offices of Justine Greening MP and Jane Ellison MP, and our very own CEO, Miles Scott.

Smaller coffee mornings also took place across the trust raising further vital funds for Macmillan, including St. John’s Therapy Centre who raised a total of £102.46 and the medical and oncology physio and occupational therapists who raised £170.

A special thanks to all of our staff and volunteers who helped run the coffee mornings and to those who donated prizes, cakes, fruit and juices. Thanks also to everyone who indulged in coffee and cake for a good cause! For information about Macmillan Cancer Support, please see the website.
