This message was updated on Wednesday 17 May.

St George’s has not been affected by the recent NHS ransomware cyber-attack.

We took some precautionary steps to protect our clinical systems – including the suspension of Trust email (since 7:30pm on Friday 12 May). As of 8:30am on Wednesday 17 May, our Trust email has been restored.

This did not affect our clinical services for patients, which continue to run as normal.

Patients are asked to attend their appointments this week as normal, but we are asking everyone to continue to use our services – particularly A&E – wisely.

Thank you to all staff and patients for your patience over the last five days.
