St George’s surgical teaching faculty were nationally recognised by the College of Surgeons of England as the regional team delivering the most Royal College surgical teaching courses in 2015. This award is the result of a great team effort by many consultants and trainee surgeons from different specialties working with the GAPS centre team to deliver both postgraduate and undergraduate surgical training courses including surgical skills courses for all SGUL medical students. The surgical course leads for 2015 were Philippa Tostevin (ENT), Robert Hagger (colorectal), Andy Ramwell (colorectal) and Ben Ayres (urology) but huge thanks go to the many other surgeons who have given their time regularly to teach on the courses who have also contributed to this recognition award for St George’s. Congratulations to the surgical teaching team!
