Celebrities have come together to celebrate the efforts of St George’s staff throughout the pandemic in a compilation video of support for healthcare staff.

Following emergency spinal surgery in December, Emergency Department Nurse Georgina Day spent Christmas and New Year in St George’s as a patient. During her recovery decided she wanted to do something to support the teams she’d usually be working with to boost staff morale. Her idea was to create a video with messages of thanks and support from celebrities.

From Lorraine Kelly and Susanna Reid to Ashley Roberts and Paul Hollywood, a huge number of celebrities jumped at the chance to send a special thank you message to our staff.

Georgina Day said: “I felt helpless hearing how difficult the shifts were for staff. This project was my way of sending a huge thank you to them for their phenomenal work. They are all truly the best.”

We hope you enjoy this video and we thank all St George’s – and NHS more broadly – staff for everything that they are doing.

With special thanks to our contributors: Lorraine Kelly, Susanna Reid, Dr Hilary Jones, Kerry Godliman, Charles Venn, Joe Pigott – AFC Wimbledon, Konnie Huq, Harry Redknapp, Mel Giedroyc, Rachel Riley, Sadiq Khan, James Martin, Ginnie Chadwyck-Healey, Ashley Roberts, Paul Hollywood, Jo Wood, Jon Snow, Dr Rosena Allin-Khan and AELTC Tennis Club.
