Improvement works underway to upgrade our Cardiac Catheter Laboratories
Vital improvement work is now underway to improve the Cardiac Catheter Laboratories in Atkinson Morley wing at St George’s.
The work involves a major refurbishment of our labs, which will ensure St George’s is equipped with the latest, state of the art diagnostic and interventional cardiology equipment.
To enable the work to take place, two temporary cardiac catheter labs will be set up in the Atkinson Morley wing car park, so that patients can still get the treatment they need during the 18 month project. The work, which began in May 2020, has led to the car park temporarily losing 24 parking spaces. A map showing the area affected – and where spaces will be lost (marked in pink) – can be viewed here.
This is an exciting project for St George’s which will enable our team to continue to provide a 24/7 lifesaving service. We appreciate the reduction in car parking spaces may cause some inconvenience and apologise for any disruption this may cause.
