Arthur Smith’s patient experiences raise Nursing Day smiles
Comedian Arthur Smith brought smiles to the faces of nurses at St George’s University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, Tooting, as part of International Nurses’ Day on 12 May 2010.
Balham resident Arthur Smith gave an entertaining account of his experiences as a patient at St George’s during an afternoon event which also saw the presentation of the trust’s nurse of the year awards. Over 200 nurses attended the event and also heard from Sian Page an A&E nurse from Barts and The London NHS Trust who talked about her experiences of working at Camp Bastion military hospital in Afghanistan.
Director of Nursing, Alison Robertson, said, “International nurses day provides a great opportunity to celebrate the achievements and successes of our nursing colleagues across the organisation.”
