You will have seen news in the media regarding the Infected Blood Inquiry and the report which was published on Monday (20 May).

We understand that many people will have questions. A new national online resource for patients and the public has been set up to provide help and support, as well as answer some of these questions here.

St George’s is one of the hospitals named within the report, but we would like to stress that the procedures we now follow, across the whole NHS, differ greatly from the period of time covered by the Inquiry and modern safety standards are extremely rigorous.

You can find more information via the Inquiry’s official website.
