Clinical interests

Helen Witherow is an Oral and Maxillofacial surgeon with duel qualifications in Medicine and Dentistry. She has specific interests in Facial Aesthetics, and treats both congenital and acquired deformity in adults and children. She has specific interest in Orthognathic , Craniofacial and Skin cancer and has a regular complex Cranio-Orbito facial Multidisciplinary clinic. Helen is a core member of the Skull base and skin Multidisciplinary team. She also runs a weekly Botox clinic for treating patients with dystonias and sialorhoea. She welcomes patients with all complex facial deformity but is also happy to see patients with oral pathology.

Helen Witherow qualified in Dentistry in Birmingham in 1984 and Medicine in Bristol in 1993. Her training has included facial plastic surgery and all aspects of maxillofacial surgery.

She specialised in Craniofacial surgery and undertook a Craniofacial Fellowship at Great Ormond Street Hospital.

Helen has published widely in peer reviewed journals on Craniofacial surgery, aesthetics, and orthognathic surgery.

She is the Training program director for Maxillofacial surgery for South London.
