Hospital Non-Executive Director to serve four more years
A SENIOR civil servant with the Tribunals Service is to serve a second term on the board of St George’s University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.
Mrs Valerie Vaughan-Dick, aged 45 from Streatham, is Director of Finance and Resources at the Tribunals Service, part of the Department of Constitutional Affairs.
She has been a member of the Trust’s board, which oversees the hospital’s strategic direction and finances, since 2002.
Her new term of office began on 1 May 2006 and ends on 30 April 2010, for which she will receive £5,673 a year.
Commenting on her re-appointment, Mrs Vaughan-Dick said:
“As board members, we have to ensure that the hospital continues to deliver excellent care for the local community while spending its money wisely, and I am delighted to have the opportunity to contribute to this very important work for another four years.”
Mrs Vaughan-Dick chairs the Trust’s audit committee and is a Director of V and A UK Limited. Until recently, she was Director of Resources of Centrex, the Central Police Training and Development Authority.
Mrs Vaughan-Dick is not a member of any political party nor does she hold a ministerial appointment.
She has not taken part in any political activity in the last five years.
