Macmillan Cancer Support Task
Macmillan Cancer Support is a national charity offering information on a wealth of topics, from diagnosis, different cancers types and treatments, to advice on finances, benefits, diet, coping emotionally, and maintaining relationships.
Here at St George’s Hospital, we have our very own Macmillan Information and Support Centre located on the ground floor of the Grosvenor Wing. Drop in to see our specialist staff, who provide free, confidential information and support for anyone affected by cancer. The Macmillan Centre is open Monday to Thursday 08:30 – 17:30, and Friday 09.30 – 16.30 (except Bank Holidays), although opening hours may vary.
Move More is an initiative to help you keep active when you need to, with tips for getting started and activities near you.
Macmillan Cancer Psychological Support (CaPS) is a specialist service offered at St George’s to help you deal with the emotional and psychological side effects of cancer. It is open to all adult patients who have received care for their cancer at St George’s Hospital, as well as those involved in their care (e.g. carers, families, partners).
