Gas leak in Lanesborough Wing. Gas supply to LW0 and LW1 including the
canteen shut down.

Discussion with site manager and Director on call as to the impact on our
ability to provide patients with hot food the following day. No one from
Mitie on call apart from cleaning staff. Chef not due on site until
05.00. Estates on site to ensure areas made safe.

Site manager and Mitie Head Chef have discussed gas situation. Patient
food is delivered to the trust frozen and reheated in electric ovens so no
impact on patients. No cooked food in canteen or Eddie Wilson’s will be
available until repairs are carried out and gas supply restored.
Other than the above,
all contacts were regarding bed pressures and opening up escalation areas to
support A&E target and ensure patient safety.
