Dear Brendan
I just wanted to alert you to the fact that Neuro has
a new contract with the Holiday Inn,
While we pay for the patients’ accommodation we are very
clear that we are not responsible for their activities at the hotel and our
contract with the hotel states this. Thus, if there were to be any issues e.g.
patients misbehaving this should be for the hotel to resolve with the patient.
If there are any medical issues with the patients while they are at the hotel,
they should be treated like any other member of the public and access
healthcare services as appropriate i.e. GP, A&E etc.
I attach a copy of our contract with the hotel and the
information given to patients.
If you have any questions or require further
information, please do not hesitate to contact me.
Hazel – I have copied you in but I am not sure there
is any need to circulate this to on-call managers.
