4.30pm heads up re pressures in system 60 patients waiting at 3 hours have been seeing 20 per hour - 2 qualified staff down but ok now, but not sure for how long 20 plus attending. predominately surgical patients, good team on so decision making is robust,  10 beds opened to accommodate. Gary bed manager and LAS reviewing capacity and currently have no cardiac neuro or medical beds, 7 MAU beds are available. Will wait for their review

7.30pm A&E calmed down 44 patients in A&E 2.5 hour wait mainly surgical 3 TCI good team again and robust decision making 20 patients attending since 10am
wards are a problem - 17 surgical 3 medicine and 2 MAU
ITU shower leaked into GITU - area closed McEntee above TB patient showering capacity to absorb patients but have patients waiting to be admitted 3 to be reviewed and 1 bed left therefore overnight could be a problem 1 of 3 sent to cardiac
LAS advise phoning bed managers at DGH for divert - Gary bed manager aware from CMS that all hospitals are busy and may decline
Abbi proposed internal disaster recovery plan potential in next few hours
 
James Hope closed staff shortages across the wards all phoning to say no if contacted acuity is very high
Rscovery and theatres an option for outlying ITU patients - cons ITU agrees - 1 CCU additional bed opened - we have the additional staff for ITU
